C.W.’s Fantasy Sleepers
(Year of the TE)
When drafting for fantasy you want to find players that perform above their ADP (Average Draft Position). So for example, drafting someone in Rd 6 that performs at a level of a RD 3. Then your overall team strength will improve. I’m going to provide multiple tier sleepers and why I think they will outperform their ADP. This sleeper is based off from ADP from Fantasypros.com PPR League.
Players that you can get in Rounds 5-9 that could perform above projections statistically.
TJ Hockenson ADP 52.4
Hockenson has showed continuing improvement and now with the uncertainty of the Detroit wide receiver group. There is a good chance that he becomes the leading pass catcher for the team.
Kyle Pitts ADP 63.1
This will be the biggest potential hit for a rookie to make an impact. Will he play WR/TE? Doesn’t matter… They are so excited about this guy that they traded Julio Jones. He is going to be a steal for fantasy in the TE Spot.
Chase Edmonds ADP 70.1
Last year Chase Edmonds was a rotational back with Kenyan Drake. With Drake departed and the questionable health of James Conner. Edmonds should see a large share of the carries in Arizona and he is the better pass catching back.
Dallas Goedert ADP 78.1
Zach Ertz is on the way out and Philly and that is going to make Goedert the main TE in their offense. They really started to favor Goedert over Ertz at times the last two years. Feel like the drive for every team to have the TE mismatch will make this the year of the TE
Deebo Samuel ADP 82.2
The WR1 in SF offense is going to get a lot of pass attempts. Aiyuk filled into this role when Samuel was hurt last year, but its Samuels to lose. If he can get rolling without injury. Samuel can be a top 5 Receiver.
Players that you can get in Rounds 10-15 that could perform above projections statistically.
Laviska Shenault ADP 103.7
New coaching and an offense that screams college style offense. Laviska Shenault is the perfect line up anywhere weapon. They will use him as a WR or RB and he should rack up a lot of fantasy points in this young offense
Robert Tonyan ADP 107.0
Tonyan switching from WR to TE was great for his career. I think he’s going to surprise people this year getting all the TE Snaps in GB . With or Without Rodgers he is going to put up points.
Michael Pittman JR. ADP 114.5
Wentz inherited so many weapons in Indy and Michael Pittman Jr. is in the prime seat to become this team’s superstar. TY Hilton has had injuries and age slow him down, but I believe that Pittman will take over as the WR1 in Indy this year
Hunter Henry ADP 138.1
NE brings in two huge TE Free agents. You would have to think Bilichick is trying to recreate the Gronk/Hernandez duo of TE. Hunter Henry could have a Gronk (In his prime) like season. if this experiment works
Jamison Crowder ADP 157.7
Crowder is so talented and has always been in this offense with struggling QB’s. I think that he can be Zach Wilsons go to WR this coming year and end up as a top tier wide receiver that you can get at the tail end of your draft
